Someone told me once that children should be shown love only when they are asleep in order not to become too spoiled. I was very disappointed when I first heard that and I sad to myself: how sad is this person's life and how sad is the life of this person's children?

I don't want to give you a lecture about how good of a parent I am, though I'm really trying to be one. Nonetheless, there is one thing I know for sure in this life: my child has to know what love is, my child has to know he is loved, my child needs to be kissed and hugged for a thousand times in a day,  cause this is all he needs to grow beautifully and to become a great man someday... nothing more...

Ray-Bans go well with red lipstick... and hats

Every time I'm doing a product review, I'm always thinking to do something special.
I analyze, I mix, I try different things in order to make it memorable, both for me and for you, the people who read me. Why for you? It's obvious that YOU are the reason why I'm doing reviews and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. ♥ ♥ ♥

The special from today's post consist of the combination between the Ray-Ban sunglasses and the red lipstick. As I was telling you in the Facebook teaser, this is the first time I'm wearing red lipstick and from the reactions I got I feel the courage to try it again.

To continue... I wrote in a previous article how I got to know about this well known brand of sunglasses and how I've always wanted to have my own pair. It seems to me that once again confirms that when you really want something sooner or later you'll get it.

Even though I have many pairs of sunglasses (all of them no name) now that I've got the Ray-Bans, I can make an objective comparison between what constitutes a qualitative pair of glasses and a less qualitative one. The difference is huge, it is observed from the first second they are in front of you and is reflected both in the quality of the frame and also of the lens. None of my previous pairs has a UV filter on the lens, which means now I can be stylish, but at the same time protected from the less beneficial sunrays. As far as the price, they are definitely more affordable in comparison to what can be found in malls or other specialized stores.

The package contains a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses, protective Ray-Ban leather holster, cleaning cloth, Ray-Ban manual with instructions for use and maintenance. And because we're still in March, I also received a Ray-Ban refrigerator magnet.

I like matching the bag with the shoes

At first there were the Benvenuti shoes. Practically it was love at first sight. I didn't buy them on 8th March on sale, I bought them 2 weeks later at full price. :|
Then there was the proposal from DressLily to choose something nice from their website and afterwards come here and talk to you about it. Said and done, and the result is the bag I'm wearing in today's combo. It's not leather, but is very well crafted and, from my point of view, has the perfect dimension. It's versatile, both because of the shape and the color. I have the feeling I'm going to wear it very often this Spring.

What's the connection between them? I like matching the bag with the shoes.

This is not my first collaboration with an online shop outside EU and, with all honesty, I'm telling you I've never encountered any problems. Actually, this time I could say it was a better experience since the bag came to the usual postal office and not to the customs postal office. I don't know how is it in your town, but in my town I have to take a day leave to be able to pick up my package. :|

The reason for which the package didn't come at the customs postal office, as far as I can realize, is because it was sent via Rotterdam... that means EU. I don't know how the guys from DressLily came up with this idea, but I'm very glad they did because they spared me a day of stress.

You always have a choice!

Whenever we enroll in a contest, we enroll with the hope of winning.  
Today, for example, is the extraction in a contest in which I could win a Mini Cooper or free shoes for the next 10 years. Obviously there is a part of me that hopes to win and it's perfectly normal because we all need such free pleasures. And no matter how many contests I'll attend, I'll never lose hope that maybe at some point I will win. Again ... perfectly normal ... hope dies last. 

What do you think I'll do if I don't win? The options are: 
1. I will accelerate the ambition engine to work harder so that I gain more and then buy that car I'm craving for... 
2. I waste time investigating whether the person who won had this right, because if it turns out she didn't have it there are 0.01 more chances for me to win. 
3. I accept someone else was lucky and I move on with my head up, waiting for another chance at the next contest ... ultimately I can't lose something I've never had. 

Now, I'm asking... What is the option that you think I'd choose? What is the option that you would choose?

Bloggers and Ray-Bans

Dintotdeauna am admirat ochelarii de soare Ray-Ban ai Danei Rogoz. Datorită ei am ajuns să-mi placă aceşti ochelari şi mi-a sădit acea dorinţă de a avea şi eu o astfel de pereche. Probabil că aţi observat şi voi că sunt foarte populari în rândul bloggerilor de modă.

Acum 5 luni, în timp ce eram în aeroportul din Malta, am zăbovit un timp în faţa unui magazin de ochelari de soare de la mai multe branduri, printre care şi Ray-Ban. Atât eu cât şi partenerii mei de călătorie, oameni cu joburi în sfera managementului, am salivat cu jind la perechile frumos aliniate de ochelari, care costau câteva sute de euro perechea.
Atunci mi-am pus întrebarea: Cam ce venituri trebuie să ai ca să-ţi permiţi o pereche de ochelari Ray-Ban?
Acum îmi pun altă întrebare: O să credeţi că am început să o iau razna dacă vin şi vă povestesc despre acest brand de ochelari?... dar să continuăm...

Pentru cultura generală a tuturor spun că: ochelarii de soare Ray-Ban sunt, la origine, un brand american de ochelari de soare, datând din anul 1937 şi aparţinând companiei Bausch & Lomb. Ulterior au devenit un brand italian, datorită cumpărării de către Luxottica. 
Am să vă mai spun că ei sunt cei care au făcut populari ochelarii aviator şi ochelarii wayfarer.

Made in Romania by Kurtmann

Nu e prima oară când vă vorbesc de Kurtmann, însă este prima oară când vă vorbesc de Kurtmann în contextul Made in Romania.
Pentru cei care nu ştiu, acum o lună am iniţiat proiectul Made in Romania, cu scopul de a promova produsele autentice româneşti.
În contextul proaspetei lansate colecţii de genţi şi poşete, marca Kurtmann, m-am gândit că nu ar fi o idee rea să le dedic un articol... Made in Romania by Kurtmann. Sună bine, nu?

Dacă mă urmăriţi de ceva timp ar trebui să ştiţi că genţile sunt accesoriile mele preferate. Îmi place capacitatea pe care o au când vine vorba de potenţarea unei combinaţii şi deşi mă regăsesc adesea purtând ţinute în nuanţe neutre, când vine vorba de poşete şi genţi fac tot posibilul să determin ieşirea din anonimat. Aşa se face că mi-am luat poşeta albastră cu lanţ metalic... Pe care o ador! :D

Eu ştiu că şi de data aceasta o parte din voi o să-mi spună că preţul poşetelor este ridicat, iar eu nu o să răspund, ci o să las comentariul uneia din cititoarele mele la postarea anterioară Made in Romania să o facă:

"Nu există produse scumpe, există lucruri pe care nu ni le permitem datorită veniturilor noastre. Oricum lucrurile personalizate sau făcute în serii mici nu sunt pentru oamenii cu salarii minime pe economie. Nu evaluăm un produs dupa câţi bani avem fiecare din noi în portofel, ci dupa factori obiectivi: calitate, material, cost de producţie, dacă e un produs de serie mare, etc..."

Nu ştiu dacă v-aţi dat seama, dar sper, ca prin fiecare articol Made in Romania, să vă cultiv câtuşi de puţin ambiţia de a încerca drumul antreprenoriatului. Sunt sigură că este loc pentru toată lumea în acest domeniu al modei şi la fel de sigură sunt că sunt foarte mulţi oameni creativi care trebuie să iasă din anonimat.

Concurs SAMMYdress

M-am bucurat să observ succesul pe care l-a avut concursul anterior SAMMYdress. Datorită acestui concurs, am înţeles că vă plac poşetele şi este foarte normal, căci şi eu am această pasiune. :)
Vestea bună este că cei de la SAMMYdress mi-au propus încă o dată să sponsorizeze un astfel de concurs.

Ca idee, eu am primit în trecut de la ei geanta aceasta, pe care o port cu mare plăcere. Acum aştept să-mi vină geanta aceasta, care este un pic mai simplă, dar care sunt sigură că îmi va plăcea la fel de mult. Fără îndoială, am să vin să o arăt atunci când o voi primi.

Fifty Shades of Grey

I finished reading the first volume of Fifty Shades of Grey ... and I'm already reading the fourth chapter of the second volume ... The thought that at some point it will end, frightens me.
I was warned about the effect of the book, but I haven't thought for a second about the magnitude of the effect. It totally confused me... in a good way... I think. It's so addictive that I can't believe no one convince me to read it earlier. I'm sure I'm not gonna be the same person after everything I've read ...

If you've read it already, congratulations! If you haven't read it ... don't waste your time!

I don't know if it is a part of the effect of the book, but I realized that I want to take a break ... from blogging ... I want to make you miss me!

Prejudice

Citeam comentariile din postarea pe tema cumpărăturilor pe Kurtmann şi am înţeles că părerile cu privire la acest site sunt împărţite. Pe de o parte sunt persoane mulţumite de cumpărăturile făcute, pe de altă parte sunt persoane care fie nu găsesc nimic să le placă, fie nu caută pentru că nu le place aspectul şi aranjarea siteului sau pentru că nu comercializează produse din ultimele colecţii ale brandurilor respective.

Eu respect părerile tuturor, dar aş vrea să-mi exprim şi eu punctul de vedere.
Pe mine nu mă interesează dacă port piese din ultima colecţie sau dintr-o colecţie de acum 5 ani. Who gives a damn about that? Scrie undeva pe bluza Zara din imaginile din această postare că e din colecţia 2012-2013? Şi chiar dacă ar scrie, credeţi că m-aş simţi inferioară cumva? No way! Am 1,83cm şi pe tocuri probabil 1,90cm. Când intru într-un spaţiu îmbrăcată aşa şi cu mersul meu încrezător, nu interesează pe nimeni din ce colecţie e bluza. Ceea ce contează este aspectul global, care nu trebuie să-mi zgârie mie retina în primul rând şi apoi a celorlalţi şi acest lucru ar trebui să fie valabil în cazul tuturor.

Şi totuşi... what's my point?

My point este că nu trebuie să ne umplem mintea cu idei preconcepute, după care să ne ghidăm apoi în viaţă. Vă place o piesă dintr-o colecţie nouă ZARA? Mergeţi în magazin şi cumpăraţi-o, vă place o piesă ZARA într-un SH, mergeţi şi cumpăraţi-o şi pe aia. Important este să aveţi un aspect îngrijit şi de bun gust. ATÂT!

P.S. Recomandarea mea este să nu puneţi prematur o ştampilă siteului www.kurtmann.ro, aveţi răbdare, daţi-vă timp să cautaţi, pentru că ştiu sigur că nu veţi pierde. Veţi găsi adevărate comori şi mă veţi pomeni... :-)
După părerea mea, 100% sinceră, acesta este unul din cele mai tari siteuri de shopping de tip outlet din România la ora actuală şi e în continuă creştere... You'll see... Mai vorbim...
