Be creative! {Cum să puneţi în valoare o rochie aparent banală de pe minPrix}

If you are passionate about fashion, like myself, then you definitely know that in summer you have to have at least one white dress. This is not my first attempt to buy a white dress. First, I bought this dress from miniPrix and I really had my hopes high. I had in mind an outfit with leather boots...  When I got it, I was disappointed because it didn't look as I imagined. It was too transparent. I returned it, but didn't lose hope.

Two weeks ago, while browsing the miniPrix website, I saw it. It didn't seem so transparent and I decided to give it a try. The dress had so much potential in my eyes.

When I got it and try it on I realized I wasn't mistaken about it's potential. I knew I couldn't wear it having that length, so I went to my professional friend, Sorina, who also does the Inspired by Zadin dresses, in order to have it made asymmetrical. The attached pictures show you the final result. This is an outfit I wore to a civil wedding ceremony.

Vintage

Some of you already know, my sister, Mirela {those of you who don't know her can learn more here or here}. What I haven't said about here until now is that she developed a passion for vintage clothes. And when I say vintage I'm not referring to second hand pieces of clothing, but true vintage.

The two essential vintage pieces of clothing from today's outfit are the jeans dress {she has it from our mother and it's 20 years old} and the bag. To be honest, the bag was discovered by me in the closet of my 70 years old grandmother {it's at least 40 years old and it's in perfect condition} ... I do not know how she did it, but she convinced me that it would be better to give it up.

What do you think about this combination? It seems to me that she has the air of a movie star from the 70-80s.

And now the awaited moment ... NAF NAF's giveaway winner is: Cimpeanu Cristina. In order to be no doubts about the winner election I made a movie showing the selection.

Nothing special

Sometimes I fall in love with certain pieces of clothing and wear them with greater frequency. You can find such an example in today's photos. The parts in question are the jeans and the shirt.

As a matter of fact ... the jeans are a conversion because the original ones I bought, couldn't be worn by me, as they were too short.

In the future I would like to wear the shirt and the jeans as in the combination created using Polyvore. The only drawback is that I have neither the boots nor the bag... That's okay, I will add them to my wishlist ...

The challenge - part I

I received enthusiastically my sister's challenge, fueled by Mira, to try to wear the same piece/pieces of clothing, but in the personal style of each one of us. Therefore, today you are witnessing part I of this challenge. The piece that will be the basis of every styling is this gorgeous lace dress, purchased from ASOS.

It may seem that we have kind of a competition going on here, but I assure you it's not. I don't think I have any chance to overcome this look, which also benefited from the best possible, most modest photographer in the world {me}.

However, in my typical style, I will try myself to meet your expectations.

Aside from the slight irony of the written above, I can say that I fully enjoyed being on the other side of the camera, putting all my ideas into practice and targeting the best possible model, Mirela {just between us, if I ever lose my job, I would gladly choose a career as a photographer, instead}.

P.S. We also have a GIVEAWAY going on here, check it out, you may be missing a chance to win a wonderful NAF NAF top.

Back to routine

I usually don't like to talk about my outfits.
I'm sure everyone can look at the pictures without having to read some
insignificant descriptions.
But this time, I want to share with you some details about the skirt I'm wearing
:

1. belongs to my sister.
2. I gave it to her as a birthday present.
3. $ 50 of the skirt's value was assured by a voucher that I won.
4. I wore it 3 times, so far.
5. sister wore it once.

Although it is a great skirt is very difficult to wear. Is voluminous, you must be careful
continually not to catch it somewhere. When you need to climb or descend stairs you risk to stumble and fall, if you are not careful. It keeps you very warm and can't be worn when outside are over 35 degrees Celsius.

Regardless of these shortcomings I love it and therefore I host it with love in my wardrobe.

P.S. Even the top has a story, but I will tell it in a future GIVEAWAY post.
The winner for the DIY bracelets GIVEAWAY is Alice Albert, from Alwand Blog.
Don't be sorry if you didn't win because soon I will start a new GIVEAWAY and maybe then you will be lucky.
