Nothing special

Sometimes I fall in love with certain pieces of clothing and wear them with greater frequency. You can find such an example in today's photos. The parts in question are the jeans and the shirt.

As a matter of fact ... the jeans are a conversion because the original ones I bought, couldn't be worn by me, as they were too short.

In the future I would like to wear the shirt and the jeans as in the combination created using Polyvore. The only drawback is that I have neither the boots nor the bag... That's okay, I will add them to my wishlist ...

Words of wisdom

I won't start this post by telling you I'm sorry I was absent for three days.
I'm almost convinced that nobody noticed this, although in my soul, I'd be glad to know that there was at least one person who missed me.
These days I'm very busy, both professionally and personally speaking, and blogging is no longer a priority. I'm missing it, but what can I do, in life there are more important things than this.
I managed, a few days ago, to see,
on a friend's recommendation, The Life of David Gale movie. It's a very interesting movie and I highly recommend it. I extracted two passages from it, that impressed me and made me think about my own life.
Read them, you won't regret it.

This is love

Every day I realize I'm very lucky for having my husband near me.
The most recent proof is that he did pancakes for me, at 10 o'clock at night.
He knew I was craving badly for pancakes and he couldn't let me go to bed disappointed.
I believe this is the manifestation of true love.

NAF NAF blouse GIVEAWAY

I'm starting this post with a question. What have in common all the pictures from this post?
The first answer is pretty obvious. Me. However, not the answer I was looking for.
The answer I was looking for is: transparent peplum blouses.
I was telling you here, that I bought them at a ridiculously low price and I couldn't help myself from buying them in all the possible nuances
. {Being a very altruistic nature} I didn't buy three only for me, but I bought a few to give them as presents.

I gave one of them in the previous GIVEAWAY and I noticed, with pleasure, from the number of participants, that I wasn't the only one to like them, but you too. Therefore, as I said in a previous post, today we start a new giveaway.

What is at stake? This time you can win a NAF NAF blouse in a
pink shade {first photos}.
What do you have to do? You have to follow me on one of the channels Facebook (Like the page) or Google Friends Connect (Join this site) and leave a comment, here on the blog post, with the id you  are following {links can be found in the right side of the page}. Alternatively, leave a e-mail adress if you want me to contact you in case you win.
If you follow me on multiple channels please let me know and you will earn one additional entry for each of them.

The GIVEAWAY is international and ends on 30th of September. The winner will be chosen randomly.

P.S. Unfortunately, the original link with the blouse, on NAF NAF site,  isn't available anymore.

Something to think about...

Blogging is not always about writing but also about reading and what I like the most is when I read things which give me to think about my own live.
That happened to me recently. The thing that gave me something to think about was actually a question:
what would you ask God if you had the chance to meet him?
Is there something I would have to ask? Well... being a very curious nature, I would have a million things to ask.

Here are a few:

When will my son start to speak? {although he is 3 years old, he has a small baggage of words in his vocabulary}
Will he be a loving man when he will be a grownup?
Will he visit us (me and his father)?
Will I ever gonna have my own business? Will it be successful?
Will my husband and I live happily ever after?
Will we also have a daughter?
Will I live long enough to get to see my grandchildren?
Will I ever get to see New York?
Will I ever have gonna have a house on the edge of a mountain lake?

You? What questions would you pose?

The challenge - part II

I was saying here that I received the challenge to wear the same dress as my sister, but in a personal style. I tried to stand up to the expectations, but I don't know if  I succeeded... You will have to tell me that.

I wore this combination to a romantic dinner with my husband and I can tell you that I received many compliments from him. It's somehow normal since I'm his wife, he wasn't supposed to tell me I look bad ... although now that I think about it, I can say that he is one of my most trusted critics. However {blinded by love} I'm sure he overlooks some of my flaws caused by the passage of the years and by the lack of physical training.

I personally do the same thing, so we are both aware that physical beauty isn't the basis of our relationship, because it's temporary, unlike inner beauty. Sounds a bit of cliché, but it's the naked truth.

7 things

All sorts of posts initiatives and ideas are circulating in the blogosphere. Now, my turn has come, as a result of a tag received from Florentina {I was actually awarded in the past with the Liebster Award from Ali. W, but involved writing such a long post that I think nobody would have read it .. . and I keep postponing writing it because time is never in my favor. I apologize for that dear Ali.W}.

That being said, here you are:

7 weird things about me:

  • I don't like drinking beer from plastic cups, it always has to be from glass cups
  • before I go to sleep I always make sure the sheet it's perfectly flat, I can't sleep in a wrinkled sheet
  • even in summer, I need to sleep covered
  • while watching romantic movies with sad end, I always try to abstain myself from crying ... Nonetheless, when I saw The Notebook, I couldn't do that and I cried very much. This was the first time I actually couldn't help it. {This is where I fell in love with Ryan Gosselin, don't tell my husband}
  • I think I saw Point Break 50 times {This is where I fell in love with Keanu Reeves, don't tell my husband, nor Ryan}
  • beautiful odors give me a good feeling, that's why I always make sure we have air fresheners in the house
  • I care about what others think about me, especially when I know they are wrong
7 things I don't stand:
  • being awakened in the morning by the smell of cigarette smoke
  • being held responsible for things that didn't involve just me ... and that, just because, I have a project manager title
  • being lied to
  • being promised something and not being kept
  • the sometimes, no reason, whining of my son
  • seeing broken things around me, which I know can be repaired
  • people who have an opinion about everything and think it's the best
7 things I can't live without:
  • family
  • hands
  • hearing
  • leg
  • music
  • food
  • vision
Random.org chose Iris as a winner for the GIVEAWAY. This is already an epic post so you'll have to take my word that I have no parti pris with Iris. For those of you who didn't win stay tuned cause next week we have a new GIVEAWAY.

P.S. Tomorrow I'll take the shots for my part of The challenge

An off-topic photo. This is my sister on Valentine's Day. Her ex. gave her 50 roses as a present.
How cool is that?

Swimming, skating, cycling

I have always wanted to know how to swim. So one of the 2012 resolutions was to learn how to do this.

With perseverance, but also with precise physical explanations, I managed to swim, as a frog, on a large enough distance to mean swimming.
PAY ATTENTION .. I learned how to swim at age 28 ... Some might say that it's impossible. Yet, I tell you... it's not. Nowadays, I'm feelling the ice skating emotions. It's not an easy sport, but I try to succeed in this chapter, too. I do not know if it would have been easier to first learn how to ride the roller skates, but in any case, I will certainly try this too
.
I flirted in the past, with these two activities, but I abandoned them, mostly because of fear. When I see how tall I am, almost 2m, when I'm in my rollers skates, I'm inhibited by the fear of falling. Nonetheless, I think I'm begging to overcome my fear.

My conclusion is that: when you want something badly and you put your ambition to it, very certain that you will get it. Age is just a pretext on the way to success.

P.S. You may be wondering why the article title contains a reference to cycling. Well ... I'm not a virgin at all sports. I know how to ride the bike since I was little and I'm still doing it with great pleasure. Cycling is a great way to maintain the muscle tone.

Now it's your turn to tell me what sport activities do you enjoy.

Don't forget that we have one more day to enter the NAF NAF top GIVEAWAY.

Say hello to my new face

One of the advantages of being a blogger is that you have the chance to get free stuff from time to time. Don't resent me because of this. The work of a beginner blogger is not always the easiest.

I was very excited when I was contacted by Antonio from Firmoo.com., for a possible collaboration. The collaboration supposed that I choose my pair of glasses (vision or sun) from their site, and afterwards to write a honest opinion about them. I had the ophthalmologist prescription with all the details of diopter and distance between pupils, I filled out their form, I sent it and after that I expected them to come.

Now, because they came, I can say
I like them very much, for the following reasons: they match the description on the site, they are very light, they have antireflection lenses, they have the diopter I asked for. People who knew me with my previous pair of glasses, tell me that I look better with this one. I hope they are sincere.

I admit it's somewhat difficult to choose your first pair of glasses from a website, but if it's not your first pair and you know very well what suits you best, the process is quite easy. I particularly liked and used their tool to upload a portrait photo, in order to simulate my look with different pair of glasses. Some other important details are the current dimensions of your glasses. I have a wide face and I need my glasses to be at least 13cm wide. All information related to the size of each pair of glasses is available at your disposal on Firmoo site.

But still, who are the people from Firmoo?

I found out that Firmoo (www.firmoo.com) is the world's most popular online eyeglasses store.  Vision and Fashion the Frugal Way is the ultimate goal of Firmoo, so it has always committed itself to providing customers with high-quality and fashionable eyewear at the most affordable prices.  Firmoo launched a program offering free eyewear to first-time buyers in order to make more people try Firmoo’s quality products & excellent service. Plus, it’s easy to get your free eyewear, and the delivery is pretty fast! Want to have a try? Just go to http://www.firmoo.com/free-glasses.html to get your FREE pair!

I'm looking forward to read your opinion about this look. I personally think I look like a bitchy math teacher.

The challenge - part I

I received enthusiastically my sister's challenge, fueled by Mira, to try to wear the same piece/pieces of clothing, but in the personal style of each one of us. Therefore, today you are witnessing part I of this challenge. The piece that will be the basis of every styling is this gorgeous lace dress, purchased from ASOS.

It may seem that we have kind of a competition going on here, but I assure you it's not. I don't think I have any chance to overcome this look, which also benefited from the best possible, most modest photographer in the world {me}.

However, in my typical style, I will try myself to meet your expectations.

Aside from the slight irony of the written above, I can say that I fully enjoyed being on the other side of the camera, putting all my ideas into practice and targeting the best possible model, Mirela {just between us, if I ever lose my job, I would gladly choose a career as a photographer, instead}.

P.S. We also have a GIVEAWAY going on here, check it out, you may be missing a chance to win a wonderful NAF NAF top.

To Adi

Today is a special day in my life. This is the day I celebrate three years since I became a mother.
Sounds strange doesn't it?
What I actually wanted to say is that, this is the day when Adi is 3 years old.

I want my son to read these lines over the years and learn that he is a child resulted from a sincere love and an intense passion, for which I and his father, will do everything in our power to ensure the happiest life possible.

Happy birthday, Adi, on your 3 years anniversary. May you stay your entire life as loving and affectionate as you are now. We love you. Mommy and Daddy.

NAF NAF top GIVEAWAY

As usual, the weekend was too short for all the things I would have wanted to do.
Beyond chores, that must be done unconditionally, I found time to go to a cousin's birthday, to go out and to enjoy a movie.

As I was mentioning here, the top, I'm wearing in the pictures from this post, has a little story {nothing thrilling, do not get excited}. The story is that my sister found a store that sold, among other things, this kind of tops, at a ridiculously low price. When she saw them, she instantly bought 3. Then I went to the store and obviously bought also
3. When to pay them, I realized that they were reduced by 50% and I thought it would be nice to buy another 3, to offer them as gifts.
So ... Today we start a new giveaway in which I offer you a top, identical to the one I'm wearing in these pictures.
The top is NAF NAF, and combines two of the major trends of 2012: peplum and mint. The original link is this.

What to do?
Well, as usual, I do not ask the impossible. All you have to do is either follow me via Facebook or GFC and leave me a message here on the blog, letting me know the channel and the id you're following with. Optionally, if you want to be contacted by me in case you win, leave an email.

If you are following me on multiple channels please let me know and you will earn one additional entry for each of them.

The contest it's international and ends on September 15th. The winner will be chosen via random.org.
