Every end is a new beginning...

I was telling you two weeks ago about how I felt happiness and I promised I will get back here and explain the reasons that generated this state... Well... that moment has arrived.

I don't think it's a secret anymore that one of my defining characteristics is AMBITION and that I want to do in this life everything I can to fulfill all the dreams that I have. Another way to do this, than to work as much as I can, I don't know. Therefore, the career I have in the IT domain is and will remain an essential part of my existence.

I love my job and I don't have the slightest doubt that this is what I was meant to do in life.
I spent the last 9 years in a company in which I grew up both literally and figuratively. When I started, I was a confused 22 years old student. Now, I'm a career woman, a wife and a mother of almost 31 years. I grew up professionally from the lowest level and this is something that I'm very proud off and for which I want thank those who gave me the opportunity to become today's Lucia. THANK YOU!

My desire for more became bigger than the company's possibilities and when this desire met with the need of another company to hire someone with my skills... HAPPINESS appeared. If you want to understand better what this change represents for me, professionally speaking... imagine that until now you've worked for a local clothing retailer and from now on you will work for ZARA. The work itself may be mostly the same, but the prospects and the benefits are totally different. It's a new era!

The history of the past nine years and the job changing experience determine me to put down some thoughts, hopefully motivational, for YOU, the people who read me: don't let anyone tell you what you can and can not do in life, be your own evaluators and be severe with yourselves, don't let anyone tell you that you deserve less than you know you deserve, have confidence in yourself, there is no better time than the present time to change your destiny, don't ever be afraid of change, don't stop evolving, never give up on your dreams.

Trend alert - ripped jeans

Ripped jeans became a popular trend in the 80's. Now, 24 years later, they are still a popular trend...
It was a time in my life when I didn't have the courage to wear such jeans because I believed that they didn't represent me. Now, I have 5 pairs of ripped jeans (long and short) and I would wear them every day, if I could.
They are so versatile and can be included in so many combinations... after all, they are jeans.

How do you feel about wearing them? Are you afraid people might think less of you if you wear ripped jeans?
