It's a girl!!!

I often get asked if my husband and I are thinking of having another child.

To be honest, most of the times I really don't know what to answer. Both myself and my husband come from families with siblings. He has 3 sisters and I have a sister ... and yes ... it's normal to want for our child a sister or a brother.

However, our experience as parents, so far, has been a bit of a challenge.

Adi is a very energetic child, stubborn, with a unique personality.
He took his first steps when he was 10 months old, he gave up his pacifier, rather quickly, at 11 months. He began to sleep at least 8 hours a night, after the age of 2.  He gave up the baby bottle at 2 years and a half. He gave up diapers at almost 3 years... Regarding speaking... that's another story. At three years and two months (that's his age now) he is definitely behind schedule. He has a baggage of words but is he far from being a real talker. That's why we do daily exercises and we take speech therapy sessions. So I'm thinking twice before starting over.

Some of those who read this could tell me that things seem pretty normal ... Perhaps this is the case ... Looking back I realize that we have been through many difficult moments, but we overcame them  and we replaced them with the happy moments spent as a family ...

I wish for my son to know what it means the love for a brother/sister, what it means the support from a brother/sister, what it means to share with a brother/sister. I wish for my son to have someone to talk to when he can't talk to me or his dad, I want him to have someone to lean on when his father and I won't be near him.

And to return to the original question ... The answer is YES ... We will endeavor, with God's help, to give our son a brother or a sister.

P.S. I apologize for misleading you with the title.

El are 3 surori, iar eu o soră...

  6. He´s sooooo cute and probably highly talented. He´s showing all the signs. He could walk from an early stage on. He´s energetic and stubborn with a unique personality. There a special tests which can verify that. I think it´s awesome to be highly talented but for parents it´s a big challenge cos if he´s unchallenged you´ll have trouble. I could be wrong of course but I think it wouldn´t hurt to check that <3

  10. what an adorable little boy! And so lucky to have such caring and involved parents. We want the same for my son too, to have siblings to grow up with, to share stories and make memories with. but we have finally come to terms with it being okay to do this in our own time. :)
