29

Today is my birthday and it seems normal to mark it in this diary, with some sincere thoughts.

I have no complex regarding celebrating my 29th anniversary, but I can't help myself to not notice that this is the age before 30. I have one more year to say I'm in my 20's ... afterwards I will be in my 30's.
I always say it's not a big deal to be a year older as long as that year didn't pass through you.
I'm proud of my education, I'm proud of my family, I'm proud of my career, I'm proud of everything I have. That doesn't mean I don't want more. It's in our nature to always want more and I'm not sorry to say that as long as I don't excess. I want to have more adventure in my life, I want to travel more, I want to give more, I want to know more, I want to have my own business, I want to have a little girl, I want to be healthy.
Sounds a bit cliché, doesn't it?

Every year I set myself so many resolutions {I almost do a checklist} ... and some of them get fulfilled and others don't. This year I will proceed differently. I decided to want less and accomplish more. I decided to do more and expect less.
Sounds philosophical,
doesn't it?

Regardless of how I express it, I want to talk to you a year from now and tell you which version was closer to the truth. What do you say? It's OK with you?

Thanks for reading my thoughts during this year. I wish you a 2013 as your heart desires the most.

Happy New Year!

Traditional Romanian Christmas Meal

Christmas has passed, but I couldn't let it leave without doing a demonstration on what a traditional Romanian Christmas meal means.
The meal was held at our wedding godparents home, as every year, and we had a great time.

We exchanged gifts, we talked, we ate and once again we remembered how lucky we are.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas, for me and my family, is a very good opportunity to remember once again how lucky we are.
We have a warm home where we decorated the tree waiting for Santa Claus, we have plenty to eat, we are healthy and above all we have each other and we share the same big love.
I don't think I could ask for more at this time .... Well...actually there is something I could ask for ...
I want everyone from this world to have at least a quarter of what we have.

Merry Christmas!

A little acquisition for the New Year's Eve party & my favorite candy during Christmas
Adi enjoys Christmas so much. With lots of toys and of course some more candy

And here's our Christmas tree...

I'm sure you are all bored by now by Christmas trees posts, but I will ask for your patience to see at least one more.

I'm always sad about not being able to enjoy the Christmas tree as much as I would like. That is why, this year, I decided to decorate it earlier. And here is the result.
It not a natural tree because I'm so against cutting trees. In our country, people usually buy them from the market and you can never know for sure if the person who sells it has an authorization or not. So... I decide to not be an accomplice to such a crime and I stick with my eco tree.
I know it's not the same thing... but if I really want to feel the Christmas tree flavor I will go to the mountains and feel it on live.

P.S. 1. My son was so enthusiastic about the Christmas tree that he kissed all the bulbs. He almost slept by the tree the first night we set it up.
P.S. 2. Since we have our son, during the Christmas holiday, we developed the tradition of watching the Home Alone series. Every time we have such a great laugh.
P.S. 3. Every year we buy at least one new decoration. My oldest decoration is as old as me. Almost 29 years old. Can you believe it?

Bits and pieces + GIVEAWAY WINNER

Can you believe that there are only a few days until the end of the year? I personally, don't.
In a few days, I will be starting a well deserved vacation and I'm very happy because I will have a lot of spare time to spend with my family and relatives.
These last days of 2012 reserve us end-of-year company parties, Christmas spent with our godparents and families, name days, New Year's Eve party and last, but not the least, my birthday, on December 30th.
There's a lot of activity which I will gladly come back to tell you about right here on the blog

The  photos below represent fractions of my daily life and they were taken with Instagram.

Nostalgia

I'm not a fan of this season and I'm not making a secret from it.
The bad weather doesn't prevent me from being creative on outfits regard, but on shootings regard I have a real problem.
In the morning, when I go to work, the weather is rainy or foggy and by evening is already dark.
The solutions I have at my disposal suppose that either the weather looks like in the pictures below, or taking indoor pictures, or move away from Romania, or not doing outfit posts ...
None of the solutions is happy, so I'll leave myself to chance, from this point of view, and hope for the best.

What are your solutions on this matter?

Home made shawarma

I don't know about you, but I'm a very big fan of shawarma.
Many of you may have never heard about it but it's time you did or at least see.

My husband and I prepare it especially when we run out of cooking ideas.

Of course we know it's a very tasty kind of a junk food... but, in our defense, at least we prepare it in our own kitchen and we do it rarely...

Here comes the sun

Meet my dear sister, Mirela. Part of this blog's loyal friends know her from these posts: The challenge - part I, Beautiful sister, Sister's story.
We took these pictures last weekend when, as I'm sure you may have noticed, the weather was great. I will show the pictures with me in a future post.

P.S. If by chance, the boots Mirela is wearing drew your attention, I want you to know that I have an identical pair.

Collections... from magazines to toys

Have you ever collected anything?
I, for example, when I was about 13-14 years I used to collect
BRAVO magazines. I was fascinated by the sex section. : D... it figures...
Later, in college and even after, I started collecting fashion magazines like: Look, Joy, Glamour, Cosmopolitan.

Then, there was the CIAO fever, which is a tabloid magazine. The first day they went online I stopped buying it.
Nowadays priorities have changed, I've changed. I find no reason to buy magazines since the blogging world gives me all the inspiration and information I need. In addition, I prevent cutting trees.
I haven't stopped collecting though. I'm not collecting for myself anymore, but for my 3 years old son.
In case you were lacking some ideas for Christmas gifts, I hope these images help you.
